God Who?

Question: Picking on Habakkuk 1:12, John 1:18 and Phillip 2:6 from different versions you will notice that these Scriptures don’t read the same but John 17:3 does.  What does this show about translators and why is it important to study the Word of God well?  Who is God?

Your points about the quotes you mention, are relatively self-explanatory.

However, your last pointed question is probably the ultimate.

“Who is God

The One described in the Bible again is so defined as to be able to see the following:

Question: In the Hebrew Bible from where our Bible stems from it is read at Genesis 1:1 when ELOHIM created the Earth and the Sky.  Now I found out that ELOHIM is plural for superiors or gods or whatever.  What explanation can we give to this simple fact?

IMO, the “plural” applies to the Three Persons of the Godhead:

(God The Father;) Who was/is seen in the 1st. Covenant; and became the “friend” of Abraham, Gen.18:3, and Isa. 41:8, and Moses, Ex. 33:11 and 33:17–23.

(God The Son;) Who is seen in the 2nd. Covenant; and Who became the “offering for the Sin of the world”, and called His Disciples “friends”, John 15:15.

(God The Holy Spirit;) sent by Jesus to Earth as “The Comforter” John 14:16 and 26; and Restrainer” 2Thess. 2:6–7); after His Ascension, Who is here to help all sincere seekers to find the Truth, and to Restrain Satan until the events of the “last days” of this Age!

Moving into semantics; a start can be the following: God and gods (Study).
